Nancy O'Dell started her career in the broadcast industry as reporter for WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. O'Dell later became an anchor for morning news for WCBD TV and acted as a crime reporter. The articles written by O'Dell in Charleston concerning how Charleston police acted in DUI cases with care, resulted in an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division. The inquiry led to a stronger instruction for the state's authorities. In the year 2000, The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with the Best Report of the Years award in the entirety of South Carolina Media. O'Dell has worked at Charleston as a reporter and anchor at NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station, before transferring over to Access Hollywood where she is an anchor and reporter on weekends.
